Before I go to sleep each night I have a series of like 400 things I like to do… Even if I am totally gone. I will always wash my face no matter my state of mind. I will ALWAYS put a glass of water by the bed. You can ask Katelynd. You can ask Casey. They have seen robot Jaime mindlessly go through the motions a million times. On top of that I like to make peppermint tea(30% of the time), put lavender oil on my feet (80%), listen to my sympathetic breathing exercise (20% on an as needed basis and sometimes twice.) I also check my alarms and peruse my calendar. Since working essentially free lance for 3.5 years my day is different everyday. Since there is no norm I always have to check and see what I have committed to.

These commitments quickly determine what I will be wearing the next day. Some obligations require pants, some require me to be warm, so don’t require a damn thing and on days like that I love to push the envelope. Today I could wear anything I wanted but I knew I wanted to be warm and for some reason I had it in my head to wear these pants. They fit great and I just feel really good in them. So began dreams of closets not mine and online shopping with no budget. By morning my sweet little head had cooked up a vision of neutrals. I rarely own anything I plan on wearing. I can’t seem to program my brain that I am actually only limited to my closet for the time being.

So hear it is… Jaime in neutrals.

My version of business casual. I guess. Hell I feel like an adult.

Pants from F21, Sweater given to me by my friend Katrine via Banana Republic, Vest F21, necklace NastyGal, socks from J.Crew and these lovely wood blocks with buckles are from Urban Outfitters a few years back.

I feel super classy and conservative today. I know. You don’t believe me. I kinda feel like an old sassy rich lady might wear this outfit. Not my normal gig but I love trying new things and today I feel like it worked.

Have you tried anything new lately? Even if it less wild than normal? Have you tried your summer heels with tights or socks yet? I have been a huge fan for years but this year its really doing something for me. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Allison Kennedy - You are such an inspiration!

Do you ever look around the room and notice a very limited color palate? Are you ever driving down the road and notice all of the cars around you are white? This shit happens and its terrifying. There have been days when I had to close my eyes while driving because I couldn’t handle the amount of matching going on! ITS BIG BROTHER Y’ALL!

Some mornings I come into the office, look around and notice I am the only one wearing color. It’s these sort of things that send shivers down my spine. What does it mean?!?! Today I met Ashley of Whiskey Women for lunch to chit chat about some up coming projects. Good stuff cookin’! You will want to stay tuned for WW/SWIA collabs. After we ate  someone pointed out how we matched and sure enough we were sporting a very similar and limited color palate plus stripes! In anticipations of the bundle of joy that we are about to create we decided to do a little bloggy post.

For your viewing pleasure ladies and gentlemen, I give you…… drum roll please!

Having fun is hard work but someone has to do it. And remember Whiskey Women Rule No. 27>>

No one ever made history by ordering a Bahama Mama.

Lindsey Strickler - Love

Joyce Cash - Well- She Wore It Anyways….. You 2- look cute.

While editing a wedding today I found these photos from the end of September! I debated on sharing them but I thought what the hell! I hosted a harvest moon party back when Summer was changing over to Fall and these are a few photos of my outfit from that night. I love how versatile my hair can be. It is so wonderful to just part it differently and feel like I have a whole new look. For me small changes are so refreshing. You may have noticed that I change my hair almost monthly.

As a child my mother always had the same hair-do and I would always comment that it never changed. She had her reasons for what she loved and to this day has something similar. By all means her hair has evolved since the early 90′s and the days of the bird nest bangs. In the last few years I have come to understand how and why we all seem to get stuck in style ruts. Once you find something that looks good on you and that you can maintain, why would you need to change it?

I can appreciate efficiency but something is so SOUL SUCKING to say, “I have to have bangs because of my forehead.” OR “Oh, my face is too round for short hair.” Mind you I have had some version of a side swipe bang for like 14 years.

So cheers to trying something new.

Going outside of your comfort zone.

Cheers to trying a trendy center part even if you swore you never would.

My 8th grade class picture, where I sported a rather harsh center part is scaring to say the least. None the less I would like to introduce you to my forehead…

On the note of that glaring 5 finger forehead, I encourage you to have more fun with your hair. Take risks and enjoy the magical fact that it grows back.

Jackie Babethoven Allen - celebrate don’t hate, the fivehead :)

Today I had a classic case of the Mondays. Overslept, running behind, and spilt coffee all down the front of myself as soon as I got to the office. To make things all the better I woke up with a head ache and haven’t been able to shake it. Until a few minutes ago when I a co-worker suggested that I eat some candy…ha! YES SIR! So I splurged and went for a Snickers bar(my dad’s favorite) and sure enough! My head ache is gone.

Even though I am feeling super behind and little swamped this dreary Monday I do love my outfit. I thought of it as I was falling asleep last night. I wore this new sweater yesterday and I wanted to wear it again… but not just with leggings like yesterday. ::Though I do believe leggings are pants:: Morgan from Fredonia posted a photo of this sweater last week and like love at first sight I just kinda knew it had to be mine. Once I arrived to the store on Saturday I was surprised to find out this sweet oversized anchor sweater loves me too.

A match made in sailing heaven really.

I paired it with one of my favorite dresses. A light chambray collared shirt waist dress I got at the thrift store years ago. I was going through a sewing phase at the time and this was one of my victims. I shorted the once floor length dress and added a folded ruffle. Yup. RUFFLES are my jams. Though I have backed off quiet a bit in the last few years there will always be a place in my heart for adults with ruffle butts. The line the sweater creates on my hips is giving me the illusion of a drop waist ruffle butt which happens to be the one thing that can bring sunshine on a rainy day. Anytime I can look like a toddler it rains glitter in my heart. All. Day. Long.

I love to give a go at men’s wear but being a curvy girl I don’t always feel so fresh. Quick fix for me? A statement necklace. Not only does it instantly femme up my collared neckline but it also creates the visual lines of a v-neck.

Also please note these photos were taken with a tri-pod and remote. Yes. The world should begin to brace itself for the amount of SELFIES I am about to flood it with. I mean who needs hott photographer boy friends to be a style blogger? Not this bitch. Milton and I are doing just fine thank you.
