Nothing like a little thrift store + DIY combo!

I purchased this F21 sweater at a thrift store in Chicago for $6.50. Little did I know when I bought it that it had such great potential! This past winter I saw plenty of shredded sweater but wasn’t ready to break down and buy one. I love the deconstructed look but I knew I could do it myself!  Screen Shot 2014-04-10 at 4.26.21 PM

You can find this sweater on NastyGal for $78.

So I took scissors and made a few cuts all around the sweater. I tugged on the sweater until it unraveled just enough and then tied off the ends. So far every time I wear it, it unravels a little more but that’s totally fine with me! This sweater quickly became one of my favorites and I love styling it a different way every time I wear it. Here are two ways I have worn it recently>>>

Nothing like a little Polish ingenuity to polish off an outfit! Happy shredding divas!
