So a few weeks ago at the clothing swap we asked you what topics you would like to see blog posts on. Former feature and diva, Chelsea Moser said florals! We heard and we listened!

Now let me be clear, I am not one for rules. Especially when it comes your style. So here it is, my take on how to properly wear florals. I am going to post a few ideas and then I hope you feel the breeze blow up your skirt that puts you into a botanical bliss.

FIRST LOOK>>>  Floral on Floral on Floral

If you don’t already know, I am strong believer more is more is more is more is more.  I absolutely loathe matching but this version of conceptual matching is right up me alley. “Flowers, match flowers.”- I think to myself. For those of you who are a little bit more literal but love this look I started with the skirt. The I pulled the indigo out of the skirt to chose a top. I also chose a floral lace top to break up the textures in the outfit. From there I chose the yellow pumps and coral necklace based on flowers in the skirt.

I would wear this out with friends to brunch, or hell… Just to sit on my porch.

SECOND LOOK >>>>  Floral and Stripes

So maaaaaaybe the floral explosion isn’t your vibe? How about mixing your blossoms with some classic loves like stripes and leather. Another idea would be to mix florals and polka dots! YUM!

Katelynd took a little day trip to the botanical gardens in Chicago this weekend and sent me a photo of her outfit. The silk boxy tee being one of gifts to her before she left. I can’t get enough of the floral on floral with a dash of stripes!

There you are ladies and gents. My favorite ways to wear florals. How do you approach florals? Send your photos our way!
